Shri Raman Giri Ji Maharaj is an inspiring spiritual leader whose journey from being a student at IIT to living in the peaceful Himalayas of Sunder Van Urgam shows a life devoted to a higher purpose. Once a promising engineer at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), he felt a deep calling that led him to leave behind his career and become a monk. He is a respected member of the Juna Akahada and a disciple of the late Shri Godavar Giri Ji, a highly revered spiritual leader of Uttarakhand.
Since 1995, Shri Raman Giri Ji Maharaj has lived in a hut in the Himalayas at Sunder Van Urgam. He spends his time practicing spirituality and helping the local community. He has made significant contributions to the Urgam Valley, especially in improving education for children. Through his dedication and selfless work, he has become a symbol of hope and spirituality for the villagers, enriching their lives with both education and spiritual guidance.
